2K games have just released a new trailer for the hotly anticipated BioShock: The Collection that is hitting stores this September. In the new trailer you can (re)watch the original BioShock opening sequence in all of it’s HD remastered glory, for those who don’t remember the original opening sequence, it sees our antagonist crash land into the seas and make his way through open waters and burning debris to reach a mysterious lighthouse.

The latest trailer for BioShock: The Collection highlights the intense graphical improvements between the original console releases of the three BioShock games and that of the newly remastered versions that are coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in just a month’s time. All three of the games will run on the modern generation of consoles at 60FPS with 1080p graphics, which given the visual feast that the original games were, this can only be a good thing. One final addition to the newly remastered versions are the new textures and art assets from Blind Squirrel Games which are highlighted in the trailer.

Clearly we’re avoiding spoilers with our introduction of BioShock, as does the new trailer from 2K Games, so for those of you who haven’t played through the series yet you’ll get to enjoy it as intended with awe and amazement. And it’s one hell of a series to play through! Promise.

Also released today was the teaser trailer for the first episode of “Imagining BioShock”, a director commentary series. The “Imagining BioShock” episodes can be unlocked in the first BioShock game by hunting out Golden Reels that are hidden all over Rapture.

By collecting these Golden Reels, fans can watch nearly two hours of director’s commentary, featuring Ken Levine, creative director on BioShock and BioShock Infinite and Shawn Robertson, animation lead on BioShock and animation director on BioShock Infinite. 2K will release two exclusive teaser videos every week between now and the launch of BioShock: The Collection, on the official 2K YouTube channel. You can watch the first teaser below:

BioShock: The Collection is due for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 16th September, 2016. Personally we can’t wait to visit Rapture and Columbia once again!
