Watch the official trailer for The Walking Dead season 8 from SDCC 2017
AMC have unveiled the first official trailer for season 8 of The Walking Dead at SDCC today, featuring around 5 minutes of new footage. A large section of the trailer is without any dialogue and shows some absurdly boring clips of various characters seemingly doing nothing. The middle section of the trailer is more upbeat in tone than previous trailers, and we hear a voiceover of Rick giving one of his motivational speech as the footage reveals his group joining forces with friendly communities in an effort to take out Negan and the Saviors once and for all.
The latter part of the trailer features some intense looking action sequences, and be sure to stay tuned after the series logo is shown for an unexpected clip that indicates a significant time jump, which comic fans are sure to recognize.
The season premiere marks the 100th episode for the series which premieres on October 22nd in the US, and globally on FOX the following evening.
