The LEGO Batman Movie is out in cinemas today
Woop Woop, the LEGO movie’s spin-off film is finally in cinemas from today, it’s been a long wait but definitely worth it. The LEGO Batman Movie follows the endeavours of Batman as he questions his lifestyle after the Joker and all of Gotham’s villains hand themself into the police. When a bigger threat looms, Batman soon realizes that it’s the help of others that he needs to overcome the new threat.
The LEGO Batman Movie features a massive ensemble cast of villains and heroes from the DC Universe. Fans can expect to see classic characters such as the Joker, Harley Quinn and Robin but should also be prepared for some of DC’s lesser known and definitely under utilized characters such as Eraser and Calculator (both of whom featured in the minifigure range).
It good to see the LEGO Batman Movie finally in cinemas, the hype train has been chugging along for some time now. We’ve already battled through multiple LEGO releases, the collectible minifigure range, LEGO Batman taking over Channel 4 advertising and no end of promo and TV spots from the directors and cast of the film.

However in the end it certainly looks to be worth the wait, of all of the early reviews available the most negative thing I saw mentioned was that the film had to many gags. How that’s even a complaint for what at it’s very soul is a film for children, I don’t know. But in other review it’s been highly praised especially by DC fans for it’s extensive use of Characters and nods to the DCEU.
The LEGO Batman Movie will be hitting cinemas today in 2D, 3D and IMAX versions and is directed by Chris McKay.
