Fans of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series rejoice, for the first sneak peak of the game’s third season has premiered. Though it is just a brief glimpse of what is to come, we are happy to at least have confirmation that Clementine will indeed return.

The game, set to release the first episode this fall, will feature a brand new male lead in the form of Javier, a character that we, as yet, know next to nothing about. All we know at this moment, other than his name, is that he will be one of the playable characters along with, of course, Clementine herself. How this feature will work remains to be seen, as Telltale are holding off on revealing that particular detail for now.

Regarding Clementine, her story is due to continue on from the events through Seasons One and Two, yet will allow new players the chance to jump into the story without the need to know her history. Fear not, readers, for Telltale are working hard to ensure that the previous decisions made within the last two games will carry over to this third edition of the award winning series.

Season Three will see Clementine in her early teenage years, having grown into a very capable person, able to handle herself when trouble arises, and is very much on the same level as Javier. That scared, lost little girl we knew in Season One is now a survivor, having also gone through a whole lot since the end of the second season. Depending on the path that players took her on in the past, Clementine may or may not be the girl that we remember. We here at The Nerd Recites are incredibly excited to see where this tale goes.

Stay tuned for more info concerning Telltale’s: The Walking Dead Season Three over the coming months.
