The newest trailer for DC’s super villan film, Suicide Squad, was revealed last night at the MTV Movie Awards.

Suicide squad revolves around some of DC’s super villans being released from prision to do the governments bidding as a throawaway team. From the goverment’s perspective if the Suicide Squad fail or are outed it’s not a problem as they can just be thrown under the bus and no one would beleive any wiser.

The trailer sees the formation of the Suicide Squad and they’re releases from prision, alongside a reminder that any step out of line will result in there death, fun times! We also see the government pondering over the problem of a rogue Superman and how would they deal with that:

“What if Superman had decided to fly down, rip off the roof of the White House and grab the president out of the Oval office? Who would have stopped him?”

Finally we’re treated to the first glimpses of Ben Affleck as Batman and the Batmobile in the film. Following the successful release of Batman v Superman it seems the Suicide Squad marketing team can’t resist flaunting the in-universe connection now.

Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis is due for release August 5th in the UK and US.
