Pokémon Sun & Moon are set to include a pair of brand new battle modes that will be greatly welcomed by the series’ online community – Online competitions, and live competitions.

Online competitions, of course, will be played over the internet and will see players matched with an opponent to compete against each other with the aim of achieving the greatest rating. These competitions are open to Pokémon trainers all across the world, but settings can be changed to only allow pre-approved trainers to enter.

On the other hand, live competitions will allow players to host their own competitions and play against their friends, or even other trainers who happen to be in the same area. The Digital Player ID that contains the competition’s regulations is generated as a QR code. Willing participants will need to scan the QR code into their 3DS system in order to join the battle.

But now, let us take a look at the six newest officially revealed Pokémon. First up is:

Mimikyu – Ghost / Fairy Pokémon

Mimikyu lives its life constantly covered by its cloth which it uses to disguise itself as various Pokémon. This Pokémon will use its Disguise ability to escape from danger, which will alter its appearance afterwards. Mimikyu detests sunlight, much preferring to hide away in dark places, and it is thought to use its cloth as a means to avoid the sun. Fair warning to you, do not ever attempt to remove the cloth as it is told that any that do are doomed to become afflicted with a terrible illness.

This Pokémon can continue running for three days and three nights even when dragging over ten tones of weight behind it. Mudsdale is not permitted to run on some of Alola’s public roads due to the terrible damage it can inflict upon the asphalt, and it is advised to avoid walking behind Mudsdale as its kick has been known to destroy a car in a single blow – one kick and the car is scrap.

They are highly wary of sudden movements and noises, and if you approach them in a group, they will immediately scurry off to hide.
