Man of Steel 2 apparently won’t introduce Supergirl to the DCEU
Despite the success of Wonder Woman and the continued success of Supergirl on The CW, it turns out that the rumour around Supergirl (and Braniac) appearing in Man of Steel 2 might in fact be false.
While The Batman, Nightwing, a Suicide Squad sequel have been confirmed and a Wonder Woman sequel can safely be assumed, Warner Bros have yet to officially announce Man of Steel 2.
The hopeful rumour of Supergirl’s inclusion in that sequel was shot down recently by film reporter Umberto Gonzalez when he tweeted the below:
🚨🚨 That Ridiculous 4chan story about Supergirl in MOS 2 is NOT TRUE! So is everything else in this thread. RT🚨🚨 pic.twitter.com/VxRjBwucFs

The quelling of this rumour might come as disheartening news to many. Man of Steel 2 seemed like the perfect place to bring Supergirl into the DCEU. The important thing to remember is that this doesn’t mean Kara that won’t ever be introduced into the the expanded universe. The tweet specifically denies Kara’s inclusion in Man of Steel 2, not in the expanded universe as a whole.
Which means that fan casting such as the one we proposed last week can still abound and fans can still look forward to Kara’s (probable) eventual introduction. Have a look at our casting choice for Kara and let us know what you think, or let us know your own casting preference.
