LEGO Batman barges in on Channel 4’s ads from today until the end of the week
As part of the massive marketing drive before The LEGO Batman Movie hits UK Cinemas, Warner Bros. and Channel 4 have teamed up put LEGO Batman on the small screen.
From 4:45pm today until Sunday LEGO Batman will be taking over all of Channel 4’s continuity ads.
This will see LEGO Batman, voiced by Will Arnett, providing introductions to upcoming shows and on occasion providing the ads that air during shows.
Warner Bros. have recorded 18 individual animated introductions to be used during the four days of transmission, which will be shown in more than 40 ad breaks.
Deputy marketing director of Warner Bros. UK, Martin Gough, said, “We are delighted to be able to bring LEGO Batman’s hilarity to life in such a contextually perfect and high-profile platform as Channel 4’s peak time schedule. Whilst this partnership might not land him a full-time job as a continuity announcer anytime soon, I’m sure it will make a big impact in the run-up to the launch of the movie.”
The LEGO Batman movie hits UK cinemas on February 10th, with some advance screenings available from February 4th.
