Some exceptionally detailed and good quality footage has surfaced of new Pokémon GO gameplay from the closed beta.

As can bee seen in the leaked footage below, the beta user is using a fresh account and we initially get to see the character creation screens. There seems to be a suitable amount of customization of available clothing options plus the usual boy or girl choices, you’re also free to name your character.

Afterwards the beta user expores the local area. Key points of interest are marked out on the map, these key points are actually points of interest in the local area that you are physcially playing in (or at least will be) and as you see from the video you’re able to gather considerable supplies form visiting these locations.

The best part however is we get to see how capturing Pokémon works in GO – I won’t go into much detail as you should definitely watch the footage below, but you have this very nice option of turning the camera on and off. When the camera is off it’s no different to playing Pokémon on the 3DS, but with the camera on we get an immersive augmented reality with the Pokémon being transposed onto your local enviroment!

We’re not sure how long the video will remain live for, we’ve mirrored the video onto our channel, but it was initially and still is live on the Game Previews YouTube channel.
