Forces of Darkness beware, Ash & Co. are back in the first teaser for Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2

I’m sure you will all be as excited as I am to see that a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming season of Ash vs. Evil Dead has been released by Starz. One word to sum up the teaser? Groovy.

Blood, guts, Deadites, and Ash on a mechanical bull. What else could you expect from an Evil Dead trailer? The boomstick and chainsaw? Well, they were in there too. Not much is given away in this all too brief teaser, but one thing that we can be sure of is that season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead will be just as bloody, hilarious, and weird as the first season.

The second season will see the titular character of Ash returning to his hometown of Elk Grove, leaving behind his dear Jacksonville as he forms an alliance with the deadly Ruby. Of course, Pablo and Kelly are along for the ride with Pablo attempting to recover from the trauma caused by the events in the iconic cabin, and Kelly out for Deadite blood after the death of her parents.

A recently released photo (seen below) doesn’t really surprise us in the slightest, since the ever care-free Ash wilfully ignores the news of impending doom as he, Pablo, and Kelly drive off into the night at the end of season one. I’m sure he’s doing his best just to enjoy life before the massive shit-storm of Hell comes to ruin the fun.

This pretty much sums up our feelings regarding the teaser.

This pretty much sums up our feelings regarding the teaser.

From what we can tell by the trailer, it looks like Ruby has been keeping herself busy as well; appearing in the teaser shooting at someone or something in a police lock-up while a wounded police officer screams in terror. What role will the enigmatic Ruby play this season? We know she will be teaming up with Ash, but just what are her true motivations? We’re just going to have to see.

Joining the cast this season are Lee Majors as Brock Williams, Ash’s father; Ted Raimi as Chet Kaminski, Ash’s childhood best friend; and Michelle Hurd as Linda, Ash’s highschool love interest.

I don’t know about you guys, but I for one really cannot wait to find out just what is going on in the world since the events of the season one finale and how our heroes will save the day (if, in fact, they will). So, without further ado, the trailer for Ash vs Evil Dead Season 2:
