Five Nights at Freddy’s: Possible sequel or spin-off game teased by Scott Cawthon
Get ready for more jump scares as the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s, Scott Cawthon, has updated his website with a teaser image of his next game.
Even though he said that the fourth game would be the end of the game he replies lightly on a steam forum , “I never said I couldn’t change my mind. 😉 It’s not like every time I speak I’m engraving it into a stone tablet somewhere.”
With Five Nights at Freddy’s plastered on the image and the tagine being, “There was never just one,” this seems to be either the sequel or spin off of the popular game. Whichever it ends up being, it is clear that it will be at a “sister location,” so many are speculating that we will find ourselves with a new setting. With that will most likely come with some new characters, or at least new variations of the ones we know. Whether it will be set in the past or present is still unknown, as we only have the picture to go off of for now.
It could very well have to do with the incident at the sister location we are informed of at the end of “Five Nights at Freddy’s 3” where there are, “multiple and simultaneous spring lock failures.”
“Uh, hello? Hello, hello! Uh, there’s been a slight change of company policy concerning use of the suits. Um, don’t. After learning of an unfortunate incident at the sister location, involving multiple and simultaneous spring lock failures, the company has deemed the suits temporarily unfit for employees. Safety is our top priority at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, which is why the classic suits are being retired to an appropriate location, while being looked at by our technician. Until replacements arrive, you’ll be expected to wear the temporary costumes provided to you. Keep in mind that they were found on very short notice, so questions about appropriateness/relevance should be deflected. I repeat, the classic suits are not to be touched, activated or worn. That being said, we are free of liability, do as you wish. As always, remember to smile; you are the face of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.”
It’s not surprising that the creator isn’t breaking away from the game with how much success it has gained. The first Five Nights at Freddy’s title debuted in 2014 on PC and has since spawned many sequels, been made into a mobile game, has a book, and even has a movie in production. The release date for the newest game is still unknown, so stay tuned for more news!
