First trailer for Stephen King’s The Mist series coming to Spike
Adapted from the novella of the same name by Stephen King, Spike networks The Mist has been reimagined for the small screen. The series will consist of 10 episodes and is slated to debut this summer. It’s unclear how closely the series will follow the source material, however based on the first footage offered in the trailer it appears as if the creators have maken some interesting creative choices and offer a what looks to be a compelling psychological horror. The official synopsis reads as follows:
When the residents of Bridgeville, Maine find themselves engulfed by a foreboding mist containing a myriad of inexplicable and bizarre threats, their humanity is put to the test in The Mist.
The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
