Warner Bros have released the first full trailer for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and it’s absolutely nothing short of Fantastic.

The trailer opens out with magizoologist (the study of magical creatures) Newt Scamander passing through immigration control at the docks of New York. Unbeknown to the immigration official Newt is actually smuggling a magical creature into New York, we’re not sure what it is as we only see it’s claws, but this isn’t of importance to the no-maj (muggle) imigration officer as Newt’s suitcase has a magical “Muggle Worthy” setting.

We also hear the narrator express how Newt Scamander was expelled from Hogwarts for endangering human lives, although one teacher defended Newt’s case vigourously. That teacher was Albus Dumbledore – perhaps we will see Dumbledore in this film, let’s hope so.

Official synopsis

“Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter blockbusters.

“Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident… were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.”

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set for release November 18th in the UK & US
