Following their panel at Comic-Con today, DC Films and Warner Brothers have officially released their first trailer for Wonder Woman.

Reprising her role as Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot looks set to impress in her first solo DC movie. The film, directed by Patty Jenkins will follow Diana, Princess of the Amazons, as she trains to become, not just a warrior, but an indomitable warrior. Little does Diana know just how indispensable to the universe she will become as she attempts to realise her full potential, and ultimately her true destiny as the Earth’s very own wonder woman.

Going back over 100 years from when we first saw her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we watch as Diana discovers an American pilot that has been washed upon the Amazonian shore. The Amazonian people are soon told a tale of a global conflict that is tearing the planet Earth apart. Diana decides that she must leave her beautiful home, determined to help and put an end to this terrible war.

Alongside Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman will star Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, and David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui in, as of yet, undisclosed roles.

Wonder Woman will be released in cinemas across the globe in 2017.
