South Park: The Fractured but Whole gameplay trailer released at Gamescom 2016
The day is coming, my friends. We edge ever closer to the release date of the next game in the South Park franchise – South Park: The Fractured but Whole. As you may know, this week is the week of GamesCom 2016, and with it comes a brand new gameplay trailer for the upcoming South Park game. I know, I’m excited for it too.
In the trailer, we not only see more of the rift that has formed between the super-powered children of South Park, but we also get a glimpse at the gameplay which includes an updated battle system. It’s easy to tell that this game will not disappoint the fans of the first game, or of the TV show in general. It really does seem to be gearing up to be another hilarious instalment. We here at The Nerd Recites are waiting impatiently for this game to be released, and we’re eager to learn of the many callbacks to past episodes that will surely feature throughout.
But, dear South Park fans, not only do we get a brand new story-line, new features, an upgraded battle system, and a number of moments destined to offend (I’m sure), but there is at least one more thing certain fans can expect. Any of you that pre-order the game shall receive bonus content in the form of Towelie, everybody’s favourite anthropomorphic towel.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole is a sequel to one of the funniest games in my collection – South Park: The Stick of Truth, a game where players take the role of the new kid in town as he goes around meeting the citizens of South Park, battling elves, aliens, and Nazi-zombies, oh, and most importantly of all – trying to avoid the most heinous of all crimes, farting on somebody’s balls. The Stick of Truth was infamously censored in various parts of the world due to some rather explicit and “offensive” content, a situation which I have absolutely no doubt will occur again with the release of The Fractured but Whole.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be released on Tuesday, 6th December 2016 for the PlayStation 4, XBox One, and PC.
