It is finally here! Pokémon GO has now been released upon the world; unless of course, you live in Europe or the US. It’s highly unlikely that we poor souls in Europe / US will have to wait too long to get our hands on the game, but we here at The Nerd Recites will let you all know as soon as it becomes available to us.

UPDATE: You can now get Pokemon GO on your android devices for those in Europe and the USA

So, what can fans of Pokémon expect from Pokémon GO? Well, players will be able to find and capture more than a hundred different Pokémon as they travel the real world, walk down the street, go shopping, and generally explore their surroundings. Phones will vibrate whenever a Pokémon is nearby. Pokéballs and a myriad of other special items can be purchased at locations known as PokéStops, which will be located around local places of interest such as monuments, art installations, and historical markers.

Mewtwo-Pikachu

An epic battle between two fan favourites – Pikachu and Mewtwo.

Of course, as expected, micro-transactions are a feature of this app, and using real world currency players will be able to purchase a range of items and in-game currency known as PokéMoney. As of the moment, we are not 100% certain as to how integral micro-transactions are to the gameplay, e.g. can you earn PokéMoney simply by playing? But once we know for sure, we will update you all. All we know at this point is that Pokéballs can be gained by levelling up your Pokémon. So far, the list of known in-app purchases are thus:
