Marvel’s Iron Fist Netflix series recieves a new motion poster and release date
Ahead of launching a new trailer for Iron Fist at NYCC this weekend, Netflix and Marvel have recently released a teaser trailer announcing an official release date, in addition to a new motion poster featuring art from Joe Quesada. Iron Fist is the fourth series produced by Marvel and Netflix, and all 13 episodes will hit the streaming service on March 17th, 2017.
Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

Actor Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) will portray Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist. Other cast members include Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones ) as Colleen Wing, who was teased in the season finale of Luke Cage – a woman with martial arts skills who becomes an ally of Danny Rand. Additionally, David Wenham (Lord of the Rings) as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup (The Following) and Tom Pelphrey (Banshee) will portray his children Joy and Ward Meachum. Previously appearing in Jessica Jones, actress Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise her role as as Jeryn Hogarth.
Marvel revealed the new motion poster below on Twitter during NYCC, adding the caption “Orphan. Warrior. Hero.”

Following Iron Fist in March, Marvel’s The Defenders is also expected to arrive in 2017. Jessica Jones season 2, The Punisher, and Daredevil season 3 have all been confirmed, but release dates have yet to been announced.
