LEGO City: ‘Fun in the Park’ set arrives and with it comes the world’s first LEGO baby
The long awaited and highly anticipated LEGO City Fun in the Park (60134) set was released alongside the new City Airlines and Volcano Explorers sets yesterday. The Fun in the Park set brings with it the world’s first LEGO baby minifigure and you can read the official description of the set below:
Meet a bunch of new people spending a beautiful day in the park! Help the father watch his baby, while the kids play in the playground with their grandparents. Buy a hot dog at the cart and enjoy a bite to eat on the park bench, before getting back to work with the painter. Watch out for the dog though, he’ll grab your food if you’re not careful. This is the perfect pack to populate your city!
The baby minifigure isn’t a small microfigure as we’ve seen before, no, it’s a brand new mould based on a scaled down adult minifigure. It has fixed arms and legs and a smaller minifigure head. While the baby minifigure is clearly the highlight of this new set, an honourable mention goes to the newly sculpted and functioning wheelchair that is included with this set. For the first time in LEGO history we not only have an original mould for a wheelchair (instead of being brick built) but it’s the first time a wheelchair has been used in a natural, normal and fun situation as opposed to a fantasy or medical setting. Inclusive!
The set also contains 14 other adult minifigures (of which you can mix and match components for endless combinations), accessories and a dog figure. On a whole this set is perfect for bolstering out your LEGO City collection and helping to bring your scenes to life.
The list of accessories and buildable models includes:
- Park bench
- Picnic table
- Hot cog cart with umbrella
- Two trees
- ball and golaposts
- Basket, croissant and apple
- Bus sign
- Fence, paint roller and bucket
- Pushchair and baby bottle
We have high quality images of all of the minifigures included in this set below for you to enjoy!
