American Horror Story season 6 US and UK premiere dates announced
American Horror Story season 6 will debut on September 14th on FX in the U.S. and internationally on September 16th on FOX. Details for the upcoming season of Ryan Murphy’s disturbing anthology series remain elusive so far, the network having only released a handful of teaser videos that are so ambiguous that they barely give any indication in regard to the season’s theme or setting.
A press release reads as follows: Ryan Murphy’s dark and twisted world of American Horror Story is back for a sixth season and its launch is shrouded in more mystery than ever. The Emmy and Golden Globe winning franchise is keeping any details of the theme and storyline closely under wraps. However this season promises to be the best one yet with last season’s newcomer Lady Gaga and regular favourites Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Evan Peters all tipped to return. If past seasons are anything to go by, we should prepare to come face to face with our deepest and darkest fears with episodes packed full of scenes designed to thrill and chill in equal measure.
In addition to the above mentioned, this season will also star Denis O’Hare, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Leslie Jordan, among others.

FX CEO John Landgraf revealed that Season 6 would be “set in the present” with “echoes of the past” mixed in. “It’s set in two time periods,” he added, “but principally in the present.” Though unconfirmed, there are rumors and speculation circulating that this season may revolve around the true story of Roanoke, a colony of English settlers whose inhabitants vanished mysteriously in the 1500’s. If this is the case, it will be interesting to see how the timelines tie in to tell the story.
